I found this article It just seemed to speak to me.
By Dr. HOLLY WOLTZ
Dora, my Irish “red devil” terrier, and I spent a few hours on Sunday at Cedar Creek talking about pets and veterinary medicine. There was a party (who can resist free food and entertainment?) around their community pool to showcase the new neighborhood magazine, advertisers and residents. Dora is my ambassador, easily breaking the ice and placing smiles to people’s faces.
When I “take to the road,” I try to make my table interesting with all kinds of stuff: pictures of surgeries, a heart with heartworms, lots of pamphlets, orthopedic models of legs, microchip scanner and treats for everyone (the children especially like the Tootsie Rolls and the cat owners the Kit Kats). It always surprises me what topics are brought up, and I try hard to practice diplomacy!
